House. Late C16, with C18 and early C20 additions. Timber framed with
brick additions. South front: giant Doric pilaster order in centre bay
supporting small open triangular pediment, flanking hipped canted bays,
dentil brick eaves cornice; old tile roof hipped to right, ridge stack
off-centre to left and 3 stacks to rear. One internal framed bay.
2 storeys; 3 bays, glazing bar sashes with segmental heads, central first
floor arched casement, and central half glazed door with radial fanlight.
Left-hand block: brick with hipped tile roof. First floor Venetian
window, ground floor French casements with rectangular fanlight, semi-
circular porch with 4 stone Tuscan columns supporting entablature with
iron balustrade to balcony above. B.O.E, Berkshire, p.70.
