Inscription in upper and lower case lettering with serifs and verse 'Death with his dart did pierce my heart when I was passed my prime Farewel unto this wicked world twas Gods appointed time Farewel my wife and friends so dear no longer can I sojourn here Tho for a while you do miss I hope to meet you in Eternal bliss.'
