Headstone. 1791. In memory of Christopher Hamby who died in 1791. Slate headstone
with rounded corners. Inscription in upper and lower case lettering with serifs and
verse
'Death with his dart did pierce my heart when I was
passed my prime
Farewel unto this wicked world twas Gods appointed
time
Farewel my wife and friends so dear no longer
can I sojourn here
Tho for a while you do miss I hope to meet
you in Eternal bliss.'
