House. C16-17 altered C19 and incorporating parts of older buildings.
Rubble stone, tiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. N, elevation has
slightly projecting part on left, centre with 1 bay of 3-light casements.
leaded to attic, C19 wood under stucco hoodmould to 1st floor, altered
on ground floor with door and window under slate pentice roof. Large
stone chimney stack on right with tiled offsets and rebuilt brick shaft
having corbelled toothed head and small stone panel dated 1773. W. elevation
has 3 bays of C19 stone mullioned windows. 3 light on left, remainder
2-light, and door to right of centre in rectangular stone surround,
3-centred arched head, entablature with SOBRIE IVSTE PIE on frieze and
dated 1601 on arch. .E. font has angular windows, leaded to 1st floor.
Interior: has chamfered beams and short length of C16 staircase on
attice floor with turned and carved heavy dumbell balusters, wide
moulded handrail, A doorway from the upper staircase landing has a deep
moulded oak surround with 'tulip' slip and old ledged door, probably Cl5,
