A Grade II* Listed Building in St. Ervan, Cornwall

  • St Hermes: church of cruciform plan; main body is c13

  • St Hermes: entrance from the south; c15 unbuttressed west tower; upper stage rebuilt 1955 & given pyramid roof; c15 three-light Perpendicular windows

  • St Hermes: south transept & chancel; latter rebuilt 1665 possibly by Richard Harvey, rector, d.1666

  • St Hermes: view from the north showing c13 door

  • St Hermes: nave & chancel conspicuously not aligned; unusually thick walls; restored 1887
