9/17 Bog Farmhouse and
adjoining former barn

Farmhouse and adjoining barn now part of the house. Early C18, walls raised in
height in mid C18. Ground floor of cobbles raised with brick all whitewashed.
Former barn of whitewashed sandstone rubble under common greenslate roof with
brick chimney stacks. 2-storey, 2-bay farmhouse; 2-bay former barn to left.
Entrance to cross-passage has plank door in painted stone surround. Sash
windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds; on ground floor right an
enlarged C20 steel casement. Former barn has entrance to right of
cross-passage. Sash window with glazing bars in painted stone surround above.
C20 central window in chamfered surround with another doorway to right. Rear
of house has sculptured stone built into wall over entrance. Rear wall of
former barn has plank door and sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone
surrounds. Adjoining barn to left of farmhouse is not of interest.
