House, now shop and dwelling. Late C17, with later alterations and probably C16
rear wing. Coursed limestone rubble with dressed quoins; gabled concrete tile
roof; stone ridge stack finished in 3 rendered stone flues. L-plan with rear
left wing. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Late C19 shop front with fluted
pilasters to left has late C19 half-glazed door with overlight and C20 windows.
Timber lintel over C19 plank double doors to right. Timber lintels over late C19
two-pane sashes on first floor; gabled roof dormer with 2-light casement.
2-storey and C19 one-storey wing to rear left: of limestone rubble with gabled
stone slate roof and brick ridge stack. Much altered outbuilding (with C20 flat
roof) attached to rear. Interior: room to left has cased beam, and chamfered
bressumer over open fireplace; similar fireplace above; wide chamfered bressumer
over blocked fireplace to right. Collar-truss roof with butt purlins, Rear wing
has C16 raised and jointed cruck with staggered butt purlins.
