6 houses forming a terrace. Early 1860's. Painted incised stucco with string
course, eaves cornice and broad pilastered quoins on chamfered plinth. Hipped
Welsh slate roof with ashlar chimney stacks. 3 storeys; central recessed houses
of 2 bays each with larger flanking projecting houses formerly of 3 bays each.
End houses have panelled doors,under glazed fanlight in round arch with
pilastered doorcase under pedimented scalloped hood on heavily moulded console
brackets, flanking double sash windows. Similar windows above and smaller
single-pane second floor sash windows. Central houses have paired panelled
doors in pilastered surrounds and flanking 2-storey canted bay windows.
Entrance to left side, No 2 Waver Street, has similar scalloped hood. Similar
entrance on right side has been blocked. Listed partly for G.V. with Christ
Church.
