TQ 3079 SW CITY OF WESTMINSTER GREAT COLLEGE STREET, 101/26 SW1 24.2.58 No. 19 G.V. II* Corner terrace house. c.1722. Brown brick, ground floor with channelled stucco early C.19 facing; tiled roof. 3 storeys, basement and dormered mansard. 3 windows wide with 2-window return to Barton Street and set back 3-window rear wing (enlarged early C.20). Entrance to right retaining original wooden architrave doorcase with pediment on console brackets framing fluted frieze. Flush framed glazing bar sashes, under segmental red brick arches with red brick-dressed jambs above ground floor. Parapet with coping. Barton Street return has stone tablet inscribed "Barton Street 1722". Wrought iron area railings with urn finials and wrought iron scrolled lampstandard. Interior retains fielded panelling to front rooms and passage hall, with dog leg, closed string turned baluster staircase, etc.
