Church. 1816, with apsidal chancel of 1884. Ashlar, slate roof.
West tower, nave with apsidal chancel, broad north aisle with organ
loft at east end. 3-stage tower by Henry Poole with string
courses, single short lancets with hood mould on first stage, clock
faces on south, west and north faces below belfry windows.
Embattled parapet with corner pinnacles. Sloping walls from tower
give symmetrical appearance from front and conceal asymmetry
behind. Single storey room in south west corner has embattled
parapet. Aisle and nave windows are pointed with simple Y tracery.
Chancel windows are Decorated.
Interior - Plastered barrel vault ceilings to nave and aisle,
divided by 2 very slender cast iron columns. Chancel ceiling is
boarded. Font also of 1884. This is the first C19 church to be
built in the Forest of Dean. (David Verey, Buildings of England:
Gloucestershire, The Vale and the Forest of Dean 1980).
