at Badhamsfield

Barn, cowhouse, staples - all contiguous forming farmyard complex. Barn early Old cow
shelter to left probably an addition of later C18. Stables to rear C19. Rubblestone,
the barn being of thin coursed stone. Roofs have several rows of stone tiles at their
base and double Roman tiles above. 'T' shape barn with slightly lower cowhouse to
west and lean-to shelter on circular stone piers to south west. Stable blocks on
north side - at east end of barn, and directly to north of cowhouse. Barn has central
opposed cart entry projecting in gable at full height on south side. Gable is shingle-
clad and double doors below are 2-tiered and boarded. Cowhouse has window in west
wall with cambered relieving arch above C20 concrete lintel. Inserted C2O windows
in front and back of barn at east end. Inward facing walls of stable blocks are
partially brick.
