House. Late C17; refronting dated JS/1795 (on rainwater head). Coursed limestone
rubble; roughcast front. Gabled stone slate roof; ridge stack of stone finished
in 4 brick flues. 2-unit lobby-entry plan, with through-passage to left. 2
storeys and attic; 5-window range. 6-panelled door set in moulded wood
architrave with bracketed flat hood; C19 six-panelled (2 glazed) door to left.
8-pane sashes and 4-pane sash set in rendered architravas; 2 gabled roof
dormers. Two C18 rear wings, of similar materials with light timber framing to
left. Interior: cased beams. Collar-truss roof with butt purlins. Subsidiary
features: limestone ashiar and rubble walls enclose passage to left and
forecourt approximately 9 x 16 metres; late C18 wrought-iron railings with urn
finials flanking wrought-iron gate.
