Barn and 5 adjoining cottages, now a house and garage. 1652 and mid C19.
Reroofed c1900 and remodelled 1961. Ironstone with brick dressings and slate
roofs. 2 brick coped gables with kneelers, 3 brick ridge stacks. 2 storeys,
5 bays. Former barn, to right, has a near-central C20 door with hood on posts,
flanked by single 3-light casements. Beyond, to right, a larger 3-light case-
ment. Beyond again, on either side, a smaller casement set in a blocked door-
way. All these openings have wooden lintels. Above the door, a datestone
inscribed 'J P 1961'. To its left, a 2-light casement and to right, a 3-light
and a 2-light casement. North gable has a datestone inscribed '1652'. Former
cottages, to left, have 2 glazing bar casements on each floor, those below with
wooden lintels. Rear elevation has mainly C20 openings and glazing. Interior,
remodelled 1961, has remains of pole rafter roof.
