Court or manor house, now a farmhouse. C14 and C17; altered and extended to east late C17 - early C18. Coursed squared rubble and stone slate roof to east part and square rubble and ashlar with double Roman and pantiled roofs to mediaeval parts to the west. The east (or right): part is 3 storeys and 3 bays with 2- and 3-light casement windows in ogee moulded mullions and surrounds and under dripmoulds; central plank door in raised surround with keystone and under a C20 hood. To the left is the mediaeval cross-wing with a tower at the south- west corner. The cross-wing has a battered plinth; the east return wall has a single-light cusped window. The south elevation has a 2-light casement window in ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds and a plain chamfered doorway on the ground floor; on the first floor is a single round-headed light and a 2-light cross window with cusped heads and in plain chamfered mullions and surrounds, all under a square dripmould. The square tower is 3 stages and constructed of ashlar on a plinth: small chamfered lights to upper stages and blocked 2-light casement windows in ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds on ground floor. Plain chamfered doorway on east side and square-headed doorway, approached by a flight of stone steps, on first floor of west side. Interior of the mediaeval cross wing. Wide chamfered beams on ground flor; chamfered and 4-centre headed doorway to living room. The first floor court room or chamber has a chamfered and 4-centre headed doorway to the tower; a finely carved C17 ashlar fireplace with fluted Ionic pilasters and fluted frieze, a carved overmantel and frieze with roses and heraldry on a moulded cornice; and stone seats in the embrasure of the cross-window.
