Barn. Probably C17 and C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Sandstone rubble,
timber-frame with weatherboards and brick infill; pantiles, Welsh slate and
corrugated iron roofs. In three parts forming L-plan with one arm of two
parts aligned north/south and third part returning westwards at north end.
East elevation has three-bay part to left with exposed brick-filled timber-
framing. Central two-leaved ledged doors and pantiled roof. To the right
is a six-bay part with weatherboards to left of two-leaved C20 doors; to the
right of the doors a row of five vent slits and a C20 breeze block porch. To
the right of the porch is the weatherboarded gable of the return range which
has about five structural bays. Interior of all three parts has trusses with
angle struts from tie to principals. Included for group value. (RCHM, Vol I,
p 88).
