Former Independent, later Congregational Chapel. Late C18 with mid-late C19
doorway. Brick with pantile roof. Square on plan. Single storey, 3 bays.
Central recessed round-headed panelled door in doorcase with pilasters
supporting arch, coved cornice and hood, flanked by pair of recessed round-
headed cast-iron bootscrapers. Pointed sashes to either side with stucco
cills and Gothick glazing. 3-course stepped brick eaves cornice. Tall
hipped roof. Two similar Gothick windows to rear. Left return has inserted
round window and scars of former late C19 extension. Interior retains
original box pews with fielded-panel doors, and C19 platform with ornate
cast-iron balustrade. Empty and disused at time of resurvey.
