House. C17 or earlier origins, encased in brick in C18; C19-C20 alterations
and extensions to rear. Timber-framing (plastered-over wall plates visible
to rear) cased in brick, with brick additions; colourwashed throughout.
Pantile roof. 3-room L-shaped plan with later outshut in angle and entrance
in outshut to rear. Street front: single storey with attic, 2 windows. 12-
pane sashes under segmental brick arches, raking dormer to right with 8-pane
sliding sash and rendered cheeks. Steeply-pitched roof. Brick coped and
tumbled gable with end stack to left; roof hipped to right. Right return,
facing Saxby Hall: small casement to left with leaded lights, plain door to
right; raking dormer with 4-pane sliding sash. Brick coped and tumbled
gable to right, axial stack. Interior: main rooms have spine beams, one
with bead moulding, probably from later inserted floor.
