Farmhouse. C17; extended to right in early C18; late C18 facade. Timber
framed; red brick facade with wooden modillion eaves cornice, the remainder
plastered. Roof of concrete plaintiles. 2 storeys and attic. 4 windows,
irregularly-spaced flush frame sashes with glazing bars under gauged brick
arches. Doorway has pilasters, entablature and swept pediment; panelled
reveals; 6-panel raised and fielded door. C20 French windows to left bay,
replacing a sash window. 2 internal stacks. Later C18 and early C19
interior, most of the timber framed structure concealed. Substantial plain
joists are visible in the ground floor room to left. Well stair with stick
balusters. Some cast iron grates of c.1800. At the earlier end the attic
floor is set well below eaves level and the roof has stepped butt purlins.
