9/22 Barn approximately 40m south
of Parish Church of St Mary
and St James
G.V. II
Barn, C16. Coursed rubble walls with corrugated sheet roof, gable ends.
Wooden door in west wall. Southern end probably rebuilt. Roof was originally
thatched and carried on 6 jointed cruck trusses with cambered collars having
2 peg mortice and tenon joints. The crucks have now been trunacted above the
cruck joints and most of the roof timbers replaced. "RCHM, Dorset, vol III"
