Manor House, dated 1687 and little altered externally since. Coursed rubble
with stone tiled roof. Main front faces west and is of two storeys and five
bays: 1:3:1, with outer projecting hipped gabled wings. Central range has central
door with lugged moulded architrave, and date with intials T over C D in a laurel.
To either side is a mullioned and transomed window with ovolo mouldings, and
there are three more above. Outer wings have a mullioned and transomed window
to each floor, that to left on ground floor is partially cut through to form
a doorway, and alongside it is a window with chamfered timber lintel. In the
right hand wing, a doorway with chamfered timber lintels. Inner faces of wings
contain stone mullioned lights. Projecting string course. Moulded eaves cornice.
Large quoins. Street facade contains a renewed wood mullioned and transomed
window to each floor, and there are various mullioned windows to the rear. Axial
stacks with ashlar bands.
