Dairy Farmhouse

GV II

Detached Farmhouse. Mid C17. (Dated internally on stone fireplace 1654).
Rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof with stone gable-copings. Brick
stacks at left and right hand gables. 2 storeys. c.3 windows, 4-
light stone mullions with hollow chamfers. Iron casements and lead
lights. Continuous label over, returned. Front door at centre, 2-
leaf, flush-panelled, C19. Porch, late Cl9, low stone walls and
wooden post construction supporting a gabled thatch roof. Small
round-headed window in right gable wall, formerly lighting a stone
spiral. Sundial : stone face inserted in front wall, dated 1665.
Interior: wooden spiral stair in left hand gable. Dated stone
fireplace in first floor room, with moulded jambs and depressed-
arch head.
