Farm Cottages

Two attached cottages. Early C18. Coursed rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof
with eaves lower at right hand end. Gable ends. 2 brick stacks, one at
left hand gable, one at centre (party wall). 2 storeys. 3 windows, 3 light
metal casements with concrete cills and lintels. Front door with C20 porch
with pentice tile roof over. Right cottage: 1½ storeys, C20 metal casements
with glazing bars. Plank front door, wood porch C20 with gabled roof.
Continuous outshut under catslide roof at rear, early C18. "RCHM, Dorset I",
p 238 (12).
