Row of 4 brick cottages, once 6. Late C18 with C20 alterations. Raised c20-
tile roofs. Brick end and ridge stacks. 2-unit and one-unit plans, 2 storeys.
10-window range altogether. 4 entrances have C20 doors with arched brick heads.
Ground floor has eight 3-light wood casements with arched brick heads. First
floor has ten 2-light wood casements. Most windows have lead cames, crown
glass and wrought-iron casement fasteners. C20 extensions to rear. Interiors
have chamfered beams and winder stairs. Marked on O.S. map as Cope Cottages.
Said locally to have associations with Sir Anthony Cope of Hanwell,
