House used in C20 as Post Office. Late C17 with C19 alterations. Whitewashed
sandstone, under graduated greenslate roof with brick chimney stacks. 2
storeys, 4 bays. Left plank door in C17 painted stone architrave. Fixed-pane
casement windows, that to right enlarged, and small chamfered-surround window on
upper floor. Right 2 bays project as an outshut. Plank door and C19 shop
window in painted stone surrounds. Small chamfered-surround window to left.
Interior has inglenook with heck partition and arched firebeam. Cast-iron grate
and separate oven. Beamed ceiling.
