Ciderhouse. Circa late C17 or C18. Timber frame with plastered
panels, partly weatherboarded. Corrugated iron sheet roof with
gabled ends. Plan: Small rectangular plan building of 2-bays.
The south west bay open to the roof, the north east bay has a
loft. On the south east side and south west ends there are later
outshuts.
Exterior: The north east gable end has exposed timber framing
in the gable and is weatherboarded below, casement windows. The
roof on the south east side is carried down over the outshut.
The south west gable end is weatherboarded and below there is
exposed timber framing, a doorway with an old plank door and an
outshut.
Interior: The box-frame with heavy studs and wattle panels is
exposed. The loft floor is carried on rough cross-beams and
joists and has a partition in the central truss with queen posts;
the principals crossed at the apex. The side purlins set on
backs of principals and common rafters and ridgepiece intact.
The cider mill under the loft and the cider press are intact.
