Pair of houses, now public house. Late C18, converted early
C19. Painted brick with stone plinth, brick ridge and gable
stacks and a tiled roof. Single-depth plan with later C19 rear
single-storey wing and outshuts. 2 storeys; 4-window range,
including taller left-hand 2-window range. Taller left-hand
roofline, with lower stack to earlier right-hand house.
Central early C19 doorway has bracketed pediment to a panelled
door. Cambered heads to left-hand and immediately right-hand
windows, paired right-hand windows, and evenly-spaced
first-floor windows separated by blind panels; mid C19 sashes
with margin bars. INTERIOR: reported to retain C18 fireplaces
and chamfered beams.
