TQ 3080 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER CHANDOS PLACE, WC2 72/103 15.1.73 Nos. 67 and 68

Terraced house and shop. 1866-68. Stucco with painted woodwork to shop front, slate roof. Italianate detailing to upper floors but shop front of more conventional earlier C.19 character. 4 storeys. 4 windows wide. The shop front projects with central doorway flanked by display windows in a framework of panelled Doric pilasters carrying fascia with dentil cornice; to right is the house doorway in a rusticated semicircular arched keyed opening. Upper floors with the 3 bays above shop flanked by rusticated quoins, have architraved windows; except for the entrance bay outside the quoin frame, the 1st floor windows have pediments on consoles, the 2nd floor with cornices on consoles and segmental pediment over central window. Italianate console bracketed crowning cornice.
