GV II*

House, originally part of lower court of Vicars' Close, now
office. C15 with reconstruction to SE corner. Timber frame
with ashlar underbuilding to south and east; tile roof with
brick stacks. Right-angle plan facing the Cathedral with small
wing to right.
2 storeys with attic; 2-window range. Small plastered wing to
right with cornice. Entrance has doorcase with panelled
pilaster strips and frieze, and cornice, overlight to
6-flush-panel door; round-headed entry to right end. Ground
floor window has sill and 4-pane sash; 2:4:2-pane tripartite
sash to 1st floor with 2-light casement to right; 2-light
casement to attic with similar window to gabled dormer to
right. Left return has small window to ground and 1st floors.
Right return has some exposed timber-framing and entrance.
