GV II

House, now in use as nursing home. c1860. Probably Walter
Scott. Brick with Welsh slate roof with scalloped bands. 2
storeys, 5-window range. Asymetrical plan with doorway to
right of centre. Gothic style. Full-height advanced gable over
entrance with projecting gabled porch with moulded archway.
Paired windows above. Paired stilted arched windows to right
hand unit, and steep dormer with coped gable over first floor
window. 3 windows to left, with Y-tracery and stilted arches.
Decorative white brick bands and diaper work. Gable end stack.
