1354-0/6/136 Lower Calbourne Mill


GV II

Mill and Mill house. C18 altered and possibly heightened
c.1890. Built of coursed stone rubble with brick dressings and
slate roof with 1 brick chimneystack. 2 storeys 4 windows.
Cambered sashes or casements with red brick dressings. Gable
ends with kneelers. The mill wheel has been replaced by a
1920s steam turbine. 2 pairs of stones. Bakery attached with
large bread oven. At time of survey (1988) it was still in use
for making flour.
