Cholera memorial in General Cemetery

Obelisk, c1850. Ashlar. Tall square obelisk standing on a
square base. The base has panels on each face, which formerly
contained commemorative plaques, now removed, with moulded top
and base standing on 2 steps. This monument was erected in
memory of those who died in the cholera epidemic of 1848-49.
