Dated 1842. Cast iron road bridge, probably from Horseley Ironworks. Plated
deck on 9 depressed arch girders, sharply down-curved as they die into brick
abutments. Central cutwater of stone with 8 brick piers arcaded top and
bottom, rising to crown. Panelled spandrels to facing arches, those on north-east
face with blind quatrefoils inscribed in circles. Roll moulded iron string
to deck level continued in stone over abutments. The south-west face retains
original cast iron parapet with blind pointed oval grid of close set vertical
panels.
