Shop, originally with domestic accommodation to lost rear wing
and upper floors. C16, altered many times, repaired 1969.
Timber-framed with brick, rendered and colourwashed. Plain
tiled roof.3 storeys and attic Gable-end to street with C20
shopfront to ground floor. First floor with a 6-light C19
transomed display window in 2 groups of three 4-centred
lights. Jetty above reduced in depth 1969 when entire front
wall rebuilt above this point. 2 casements to second floor and
an attic casement above. Gabled roof. Rear is pebbledashed and
supported by permanent steel external frame. INTERIOR. One
boxed bridging beam to ground floor. Winder staircase formerly
situated in north-west corner and survives only at attic
level. No features at first floor. Second floor with one
chamfered bridging beam. Studwork to facade is of 1969. Roof
of 1969 copying a clasped purlin type. Some fragments of
original timber-frame detectable.
