TG 2307 NW QUEEN'S ROAD (south side) 29/664 5.7.78. Former Primitive Methodist Chapel. GV II Primitive Methodist Chapel now under conversion to offices (1984). Architect Edward Boardman. Grey brick with moulded brick and stone details; slate roof. Classical style. 3-bay front with centre set forward slightly. Pilasters with Corinthian capitals support central pediment and entablature. Panelled double doors have a segmental over- light in moulded architrave under a small hood set within a recessed round-headed arch with dentilled imposts and containing a large wheel window. Bays to left and right have rusticated brickwork on the ground floor with small round-headed windows linked by a continuous moulded impost. Moulded brick stringcourse at first-floor sill level with tall narrow round- headed windows. The side elevations of 5 bays in similar style have slightly projecting end bays and a continuous modillion cornice. The interior has been stripped of its fittings and the gallery destroyed.
