GV II

Two houses. Datestone JD/1778. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled stone slate roof
with C20 plain-tiles to half of rear; brick end and ridge stacks. 3-unit plan
with rear outshut. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Keyed flat stone arches
over C20 doors to left and right of centre; bracketed pediment hoods with C17
reset carved tympana. Keyed flat stone arches over late C19 two- and 3-light
casements with glazing bars. 3 gabled roof dormers. Interior: No.76 has
chamfered beam and open fireplace with chamfered wood bressumer. No.74 not
inspected but likely to be of interest.
