Pair of cottages. Early C19, possibly incorporating parts of an earlier
building; minor later additions and alterations. Painted roughly coursed
slate-stone; slate roof, hipped to left of both sections. 2 storeys with
straight joint between cottages. Bridge Cottage (left) has 4-panel door
(top panels glazed) with segmental relieving arch to left of centre; C20
top-hung casement to left and segmental-headed C19 casement to right.
Segmental-headed plank door to far right. First floor has two C19 casements.
Prominent central ridge stack with painted brick top and painted brick ridge
stack to far right. Hill Nigh (right) has C19 three-light casement to left
on ground floor with 2-light C19 casement directly above. C20 nail-studded
plank door with granite lintel to right of centre has C19 fixed-light window
to right and C19 casement directly above immediately below eaves. Red brick
ridge stack to right. 2-storey lean-to to rear of Bridge Cottage has raised
eaves.
