2 gate piers. Late C18. Ashlar. Each pier consists of an arched opening,
with impost blocks, flanked by a pair of Doric half columns to front and back
supporting a segmental pediment with crossed palms in tympanum.Vermiculated
rustication on plinth and banded rustication on half columns. The piers are
joined to the lodge on each side by short linking walls. 2 pairs of late Cl9
wrought iron gates.
