6/9 The Old Vicarage

Vicarage, now private house. Mid C19 with c.1860 additions to west and
c.1900 alterations. Red, partly vitrified, brick with diapering. Red tile roof
with coped gables. Large angled and ribbed stack to west and 4 other stacks
with overlapping capping. Asymmetrically gabled Elizabethan style. South
(garden) front; 1½ storeys, partly dormers. 3 gables of varying sizes,
and introduced brick mullioned and transomed windows with hood moulds and
tile patching. Projecting square bay to right. Roughly central glazed french
casements. Various additions, the most important being to the west with
canted and half hipped end. Sash windows with glazing bars. Entrance to east
with c.1900 moulded arched surround to doorway.
