Barn. C17. Timberframed barn clad in weatherboarding and brick and stone rubble
footings to side and rear, with tiled roof with gablets. Integral outshut to left
hand side, and double cart doors. 3 bay barn aisled to one side. Angled queen
struts and rafters without ridgepieces. Joweled upright posts and midrail to front
wall. This barn inspired a work by Ivan Hitchens the C20 artist "Curved Barn" of
1922.
