Circa 1840. Large house in free Gothic Jacobean style. Two storeys and
attic stone rubble with ashlar quoins. Gable end slate roof. Groups of
three chimney stacks in yellow brick to North and South ends, the latter
set diagonally with octagonal caps. The front has an asymetrical arrange-
ment of three gabled bays with saddle stones and kneelers, the South
gable with yellow brick chimney as finial. The intervening sections of
wall have parapets with coping. Four windows first floor, three on ground
floor, two light casements, some transomed, in broad rendered surrounds.
Those in the attic and first floor of main gabled bay and under the South
gable, have drip moulds. Gabled porch with saddle stone and kneelers. Four
centred moulded arch to entrance and similar shaped door, panelled and
glazed. South side has on first floor a three light bay window and two
casements with drip moulds, gable over. Ground floor French window with
drip mould.
