Terraced houses. c.1895-1900. Dark red brick with stone dressings, slate
roofs. Early example of sympathetic infill, combining Queen Anne and
neo-Georgian features. 3 storeys, basements and dormered mansards. Each
front 3 close-set windows wide. Entrances to right in archivolt arched
openings. Ground floor windows of Nos. 11 and 12 semicircular arched with
recessed sashes, No. 10 with tripartite sash under basket-handle arch. 1st
floor sashes recessed under segmental arches; 2nd floor windows with flat
gauged arches. Swagged aprons to ground floor and 2nd floor windows, blind
balustrades to 1st floor windows. Brick plat bands and dentil cornice
below parapet with coping. Wrought-iron area railings. No, 10 has
3-window side elevation with similar details to Cowley Street. Included
for interest as sensitive c.1900 infill and for group interest only.
