Terraced town houses. c.1810-11, by J.T. Parkinson as part of his
Montagu-Bryanston Square development for the Portman Estate. Stock brick
with channelled stucco ground floor; concealed slate roofs. 5 storeys and
basements. 3-window wide fronts. Semicircular arched doorways, to right
in Nos. 13, 14 and 16, to left in Nos. 15 and 17; panelled doors with inset
Greek Doric columns, plain or patterned fanlights. Recessed sashes, under
flat gauged arches to upper floors. Plat band finishing off ground floor
stuccowork. Crowning stucco cornices and blocking courses. Continuous,
cast iron, lattice patterned balcony to 1st floors. Cast iron area
railings with acorn finials.
