GV II

Farmhouse. Early to mid-C17 with late C19 alterations and additions. Timber
framed, rendered to south, with brick additions; plain tile roofs, with cat-
slide over outshut to north. L-plan; hall range with flush gabled cross-
wing to west and outshut in angle to north-east. 2 storeys and attic.
External brick end stack to east, central brick ridge stack to cross-wing;
C19 gabled dormer to west with 2-light C19 wooden casement, and C20 roof-
lights to south. Framing: close-studded ground floor with middle rail;
square-panelled first floor, 3 panels from floor-plate to wall-plate.
South front: 3 windows, 2- and 3-light C20 metal casements; gabled brick
porch between first and second windows from left with C20 boarded door.
C19 one-storey service wing to right with 3-light C20 casement to front.
2-window left-hand return front. Interior not inspected, but said to have
late C18 or early C19 panelled doors, and late C19 dog-leg staircase with
acanthus-decorated newel. National Trust, Attingham Park Estate Vernacular
