Early C19. Small terrace of typical Southernhay West houses in their simplest
form. Round-headed and recessed ground floor windows, standard round-headed patent
stone doorways, each with a different keystone head. Six-panel doors with panelled
reveals. Sash windows with glazing bars. Slate roof. Nos 30, 31, 32 and 34 were
gutted by fire 4 May 1942, but the outer walls remain. Now rebuilt behind existing
facade.
Nos 15 to 28 (consec), Nos 30 to 36 (consec), Nos 38 to 40 (consec),Royal Devon
and Exeter Hospital, Nos 45, 46 and No 52 form a group.
