GV II

House. Mid C18. Header bond brick, party wall brick stacks and
tiled roof. Single-depth plan with heated rooms flanking
central stair.
2 storeys, attic and basement; 5-window range. Double-fronted
with low plinth and brick cornice, round-arched doorway with
attached columns to entablature blocks to an open pediment
with ball dentils, fanlight and panelled door, panelled
reveals and soffit. Flat gauged-brick keyed arches over late
C19 recessed plate-glass sashes; left-hand cambered arched
basement opening, and 2 large mid C20 hipped dormers. Rear has
2 hipped dormers and mid C20 NE extension.
INTERIOR reported to contain a central dogleg stair, and
original details including fireplace, cornices and doorcases.
Cellar has stone walls and chamfered beams.
