Farmhouse and barn adjoining. C16 or earlier origins. Extended probably in C17 and again in C20. Timber-frame, coursed rubble, concrete tile and corrugated iron roof. Two stacks, one to left centre of front range and one to rear of cross-wing. Former longhouse with extensions forming L- plan. North elevation: now appears as longhouse, single storey with attic, stack left of centre, 4-lights, late C19 casements to left hand side, 3 ledged C17 doors to cow house at right hand side, entry immediately to right of stack by ledged door under pegged and chamfered door-frame. Three-bay barn attached to north-east has corrugated iron roof and lean-to extension for calf pento south-west at junction with farmhouse. Interior: through-passage backing on the stack, local type newel stairs to north; plank and muntin screens with chamfers, segmental headed openings and ledged doors divide rooms. Similar partitions to cow house side with local type longitudinal division behind blocked 4-light diamond section oak-mullioned window to west of front door. Cruck blades extend into roof space above principal room to east of stack. Rear C17 wing has deep run-out stop chamfers on heavy beams. At the junction of the L is a short 4-bay cruck part, perhaps later extended across what became a through-passage to form a longhouse by the addition of a cow house possibly in the C17. About the same time the early house was extended south by the addition of a cross-wing of 2 storeys and a granary added on the north side.
