House. one building, now subdivided. Originally part of the same building as
Lancaster House, Golden Square (q.v.) and possibly the part which was originally
called York House. It is approached through an alley from High Street with an C18
frontage of two storeys and one window in red brick.
The building is a C17 or earlier timber-framed building with red brick infilling, but
partly refaced with tile-hanging. Tiled roof. Casement windows. Two storeys.
Three windows. The south front is of sandstone and of C18 date.
