Memorial cross approximately 11
metres north of Church of All Saints

GV II

Memorial cross. Dated 1907. By Crossland McClure. Pale brown
granite with cast bronze sculpture. Tapered base and cross
shaft with bronze sculpture to head of a soul being received
into Heaven. Inscription below with quotation from the Creed
and inscription underneath commemorating James Thomas Simpson,
died 27 December 1907 aged 58. Inscription on base to Emma
Winifred Simpson who died 3 April 1942, aged 73. Included as a
fine example of bronze sculpture, characteristic of the
period.
