Cottage, C16 or earlier, timber framed, part painted brick, part render and part
black weatherboarding. Roof is gabled in clay pantiles with one large truncated
ridge line stack and two smaller stacks. Of one storey with attics with two lean-
to dormers on front elevation. Windows are a mixture of double hung sash windows
with small panes and horizontal sliding casements. Brick single storey washhouse/
outhouse with gabled pantile roof at rear. Four bays of substantial timber framing
with heavy jowled posts and evidence for arch bracing. Rear wall has very close
studding and a halved and bridled scarf joint in the top plate. Roof is fairly complete
and is either of collar/rafter type or simple crown post roof with collar purlins
removed.
