7/24 Harleywood Gate Farmhouse
and attached barn
-

G.V. II

Laithe-house, probably early C19. Hammer-dressed stone (watershot), stone slate
roof. 2 storeys and attic. North facade has barn with semi-circular arched
cart entry with simple Venetian window over and with 2 bays of square windows
with modern glazing to left of arch. Set back is house of 2½ storeys with
leanto porch set within the angle, with modern doorway. Similar square window
over to 1st floor. Left hand return wall has small light to attic over roof of
added leanto of no particular interest. South front has 3 linear divisions.
1st formed by barn arch with Venetian window over and mistal doorway to left
with tie-stone jambs. 2nd and 3rd each have flat faced mullioned window of 3
lights to each floor. Ground floor windows lack mullions. Quoins between 2nd

another cell added slightly later. Coped gables with moulded kneelers. 2
stacks to ridge.
