House near to entrance gates to Case & Co.

House, now partly used as offices. Mid-late C18. Hammer-dressed stone, stone
slate roof. 2 storeys with partial cellar and attic. 2-cell central lobby-
entry plan, double-depth. Quoins. Doorway with tie-stone chamfered jambs has
shallow-arched lintel under single-light window in plain stone surround. Flanking
bays have 2-light flat-faced mullion windows with recessed mullions to each floor.
Coped gable to left with end stack, end stack to right truncated. Rear: 2 similar
windows to ground floor one with doorway broken through; 3 smaller square windows
to 1st floor. Stack to right corner. Left-hand return has doorway (blocked)
as front with inserted window to right. Former 2-light window to attic (blocked).

Interior: the door opens against the stair, probably an original feature. All
ground-floor rooms have a stop-chamfered spine beam.
